It suits those who are continuing to build confidence, creating routines and establishing community links. Those who need specific focused daytime support (medication, budgeting, appointments) and want to progress on track and avoid escalation.

What to Expect
Daily Life:
You live independently in your own accommodation. Staff are onsite during office hours and visit during agreed time to provide support with specific tasks. You manage your own routines, meals, and daily activities independently.
Support Approach
- Pre-planned support visits (e.g., Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)
- Focused support: medication, appointments, budgeting
- Keyworker check-ins and goal reviews
- Community activities and social integration
- On-call support for emergencies (as agreed)
- Digital care planning for consistency
Staffing Model
- All-day support 7 days a week by support team
- Manager on call 24 hours
- No overnight staff on site
- Scheduled visits
What Makes This Different from 24-Hour Support
- No staff presence overnight
- Greater independence and personal responsibility
- Support is scheduled, not spontaneous
- Focus on maintaining skills rather than building them
What Makes This Different from Floating Support
- More frequent, structured support visits
- Still building towards full independence
- More intensive than light-touch check-ins
- Daytime support available daily if needed
Next Steps in Your Journey
When residents consistently manage well with daytime support, maintain stability, and feel confident living independently, they may be ready for Floating Supportโflexible light-touch community visits that maintain progress without daily structure.
Typical Progression Indicators:
- Sustained stability (12+ months)
- Minimal support needed during visits
- Strong community connections established
- Confident self-management of daily living
- Rarely use on-call support
- Residents feel ready for less frequent contact
Step-Up Available: If needs increase, residents can step back to 24-hour supported living.
